Proper English Please

P.E.P. was a groovy initiative (oh see my business-speke) that was started on the old CBB. Basically, it's just to ask CBBers to make sure that they use proper English in their posts. We all appreciate that, when typing, mistakes in spelling and punctuation etc are bound to happen, and few of us are nidgetty enough to get angst-ridden over it. However, posts that use text-speke (u for you, b4 for before) etc are both annoying and, for some CBBers, next to incomprehensible. So, though some of you find it quicker, don't!

P.E.P. also encompasses how you express yourself. Complete sentences are good (though obviously chants, taunts etc are a different matter  ) with appropriate capitalisation, punctuation etc. We are all (generally speaking) fairly literate people: we have no excuse!

I don't want to be Miss Bubb-like, but decent English in posts makes the CBB a much more pleasant forum of which to be a part. Furthermore, we always have to think about what Miss Annersley would say...
