My CS name is heartsease, otherwise Rosemary.

I am 65 and have been married for 36 years.
I live with my SLOC in North Staffordshire and we have one son.
I was 10 when I first became acquainted with the CS.
My first book was Three Go, bought from a Church jumble sale.I read it over and over again until I almost knew it off by heart.

When I attended grammar school I found all the Tirol series in the library and I was hooked.
My favourite is Exile and I am delighted to have just downloaded it to my Ipad.

I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to have discovered this website and I am delighted to meet you all.

Over the years I have collected the series twice, however I am regretting giving them away now that I have joined here. I shall have to begin all over again.

Welcome to the CBB Heartease from another 65 year old. I am now building my second collection of CS books having sold my first (mainly hardback) collection when raising money for my daughter's university fund. The first collection cost less than £30 and included many first editions. The second collection will cost a great deal more!

I never imagined the books would cost so much today. My first collection I gave to my friend's daughter. The second collection I donated to a school library. I had had trouble with my eyes for a while and I thought that I was going to be blind, so because I couldn't see to read, I gave away all my books and sheet music.
Big mistake!
My optician then told me I had cataracts. I wasn't going blind after all. I had the op and can now see brilliantly.

Am off to start 3rd collection....

Welcome heartsease - it was the CS which taught me that (rather nicer) name for pansies. :)

Good luck with building up your new collection. Are you going for hardbacks or GGB?
