Hello! I've actually been on the board for several years, but was an intermittent poster at best (my previous username was Lindsay) and I lost track of all my registration details. So, having resolved to lurk less and be more actively involved, I thought I'd make a fresh start and re-introduce myself:

Name: ElsieEye (Lindsay)

Age (ish!): 27 (scarily enough, I think I was 16 when I joined the CBB the first time round...)

Location (approximate - no actual address, please!): East Midlands at the moment, though I'm really from the other side of Birmingham and have lived in various places here and in Europe in my student days.

SLOCs/children/pets/imaginary friends: 0/0/0/plenty!

Favourite and least favourite books and characters: It's a bit predictable, but "Exile" is always the one I go back to. I like the early days in Austria best. Favourire characters? Probably the original quartet - Joey before she grows up, Simone when she has grown up a bit (post-clingy-phase), Frieda and Marie.

How you got into the Chalet School: My mum started me off on the series when I was about 8/9. I soon moved on to other things, until I started learning German as a 14 year old and found strange words like "Fruhstuck" and "Spiesesaal" emerging from my memory and got back into the books. Haven't really stopped reading them since!

How you found the CBB: It was ages ago...possibly a Google search?

Welcome back, Lindsay! I must have joined the CBB at around the same time as you - isn't it scary how the time passes!

Hallo Lindsay - it's lovely to meet you! I love it when people post on this thread. It's tantalsiing reading posts of people who haven't introduced themselves, and so nice when you feel you know someone a little bit more.

Have fun!

I feel like Emerence here... I was about to welcome the new 'forum baby' and then realised in fact it's an old girl come back :-)
