Name: Jane

Age (ish!): early 50s

Location South Hampshire:

1 SLOCs/2 (mostly grown-up) children/2 cats/no time for imaginary friends:

Favourite and least favourite books and characters:
Favourite book: Exile or New Mistress
Least favourite: Summer Term

Favourite character: young Jo; least favourite: older Jo

How you got into the Chalet School:

My mother used to talk about them (although to start with I mixed up 'the Chalet School lady' with Angela Brazil) and then I found Peggy in the school library (those were the days) and Jo of + Rivals in charity shop boxes. Never looked back.

How you found the CBB:
I honestly can't remember - I had a profile before but it must have got lost in a board migration. Probably looking for 'collectables' - although I am currently content with my complete set: hardbacks up to Changes and mainly Armada thereafter - not prepared to pay the prices for hardback Swiss books, although I do have a few.

Hello, Jane - welcome! I'm very impressed that you have a hardback of Changes, as that was one of the hardest to find, for me.

Hi Jane - good to meet you 'properly' - maybe we can sort something out so we can meet you in real life too!
