I've been lurking a bit but thought it was time to introduce myself.

Name: Suzy

Age (ish!): Approximately youngish!

SLOCs/children/pets/imaginary friends: No SLOC, no children, plenty of imaginary friends (and some real ones, of course)!

Favourite and least favourite books and characters: I like the minor characters most, the ones who don't have an obvious life, or whose life is hinted at but never fully developed. I like Margia and Amy, and in fact all of Margia's set, and I'm fond of Juliet - and Bette, about whom we are given tantalising hints but who is never really given much of a life of her own, apart from being a gracious widow later in the series (poor Bette!). I also like Tom Gay, and Gay and Jacynth, and all the obscure members of staff!

How you got into the Chalet School: Oh goodness, can't remember. I think I read Enid Blyton and then picked up a Chalet School that was lying around and discovered that school stories could have nuances after all! Never read Blyton again after that. I was also fascinated by all the illnesses - especially Joey's, of course (I had the Tyrol books when I was younger and didn't branch into the later English/Swiss ones until later on in life).

How you found the CBB: I came across Lime Green Musings and started reading the drabbles there, and ended up here!

I thought we'd agreed to let people discover that gradually?

Welcome to the CBB, Suzie.

Hello Suzy - have fun with the CBB!

Yes, I'd like to have heard more about Bette. Maybe her life took a turn for the better when she emigrated to Canada!

Thank you very much for such a friendly welcome :) Janetbrown and JB, I have been in madder places, fortunately - but none quite so friendly as the CBB and Lime Green Musings! :D

You will probably find a lot of us visit both sites (although I don't get much of a chance to get to LGM). Welcome Suzi!
