Hello, just wanted to introduce myself after joining...

Name: Mousecrowd

Age (ish!):33

Location (approximate - no actual address, please!): Vienna, but mostly in a world of my own...

SLOCs/children/pets/imaginary friends: one husband, many pets by proxy, scores of imaginary friends

Favourite and least favourite books and characters:
Favourite book: well, aside from books like School At and Exile, which I think pretty much any Chalet fan loves, I always find myself re-reading the early Tirol books and the holiday books, Rescue and Joey Goes to the Oberland etc.
Least favorite book: hmm, well, Redheads always seems to me like it was written for a dare, but a lot of the UK books blend into one for me, too. Oh, and Mystery.
Favourite characters: Oh, Madge is lovely. I always wished I was more like her, or Gisela, maybe. Jo can be a bit overwhelming sometimes, but I think she means well... Some characters I don't want to like, like Grizel, or Margot, but somehow I can't help it, they're just so understandable.
Least favorite characters: Another tricky one. I like how cosy the CS feels, so essentially anyone who makes it feel somehow less cosy... Jack Lambert, perhaps, sometimes Grizel (but see above!)...

How you got into the Chalet School: My mother was a fan as a child and bought be one of the Armada paperbacks - Head Girl. It's always been one of my favorites ever since. After that there was no stopping me.

How you found the CBB: By googling the CS.

Anyway, that was me, thanks for reading

Welcome to the CBB, mousecrowd. How gloriously CS-ish to live in Vienna :D .

Thank you!

Yes, I suppose it is. But my life features much less cake, adventure and dashing young doctors...for some reason....obviously I must try harder :)

Welcome to the board, Mousecrowd, and have fun. :D

I do hope your name doesn't imply that your Viennese house is crowded with mouses!

Thank you, it's lovely to feel so welcome!

Well, I suppose some company on adventures is always nice, so I can probably share... as it's the CS I'm sure there'll be enough cake and doctors to go around, too :D

No house mice as yet, just the usual spider/silverfish suspects, thankfully.

Hallo Mousecrowd, and welcome! Love the idea of Redheads having been written as a dare.
