Hi, I'm Sellenger (aka Jude). I chose the name Sellenger because I felt it was appropriate: this Sellenger is very "round"!

I live in Bristol with my 2 black cats. My SLOC moved to Wales to work a few years ago (which was a pain because he was also my dishwasher) and tbh I just didn't think we had enough in common for me to follow him. Still, 26 years' marriage wasn't bad going.

I've worked in libraries, trained as a secondary teacher (but never completed my NQT year - I can't drive because of epilepsy, we couldn't move because of my SLOC's job and my son's education) and I've worked as a support assistant in schools. My last job was as a civil servant, which was definitely square peg in a round hole situation.

I remember reading "A Problem for the Chalet School" and "The Chalet School and Barbara" in my early teens, and started collecting the Armada books in the 80s. When the depression and anxiety made it really hard to concentrate, I started re-reading them because they were familiar and didn't give me nightmares. As well as a complete set of the Armadas, I've now collected 2nd hand copies of most of the books which were badly cut.

My favourite books and eras vary according to how I feel, but I don't like Grizel. I love the name Verity, though, even if she'd drive me distracted.

Welcome to the CBB Sellenger - enjoy. The first time I saw your name on the board I immediately thought of country dancing and imagined that you were an enthusiast.

I've discovered EJOs books recently. I used to pray for really really heavy rain during Games lessons so that we could do country dancing instead.

Hi and welcome to the CBB, Sellenger. I've been a civil servant since 1995 and I'm beginning to feel like that too.
