Name: ThatWelshGirl (better known as Karen)

Age (ish!): 27 (I think I'm one of the younger fans, maybe??)

Location: Worcester, UK but originally from Wales if you couldn't guess :p

SLOCs/children/pets/imaginary friends: I have a housemate if she counts as any other these? Lol.

How you got into the Chalet School: I first got into the series when I was about 12/13 when an older cousin gave me a hardback of the first three books combined. It will probably seem funny to many of you because, even though I've been a fan since that time, I've only ever read those first three books! At the time I never really thought about trying to find more but since I recently rediscovered the series I'm hoping to build up my collection and be able to be less of a lurker around here.

Favourite and least favourite books and characters: So far my favourite book is School at but I'm sure it will change when I've read a few more (Looking forward to Exile!). My favourite character has to be Madge as I admire her strength of character and the morals and values she brings to the school. I also love her relationship with Joey, who I also like but I know that opinion may change later into the series from what I've read on the boards. I don't have any least favourite books/characters yet but am sure I will over time!

How you found the CBB: I decided to Google The Chalet School one day and it came up and as Joey says, that was that!

Welcome to the CBB, Karen :D. There are usually loads of 2nd-hand CS books going on eBay and Amazon - I quite envy you, having so much to discover  .

Hallo Karen, and welcome :D . It'll be interesting to see if and how your opinions change as you read more of the books.

I don't think I've ever been so thoroughly welcomed to a forum before. Definitely a real Chalet School welcome!

I'm a late-comer to the welcome party - my excuse is that the Czech Republic is a country far away! Near to the Tyrol though....

Enjoy the Board Karen :)
