Hi, I'm Melrose (Mel), and just wanted to introduce myself, as I have just joined, and am really enjoying what I have read so far!

Age (ish!): 41

Location: Near Sydney, Australia

No kids, except the furry, four-legged kind (a cat!). I'm a High School languages teacher, so a school like CS would be my dream job!!

Favourite and least favourite books and characters: I think Exile is my ultimate favourite, but also Shocks because Emerence is from Australia, and also the holiday ones like Rescue and Oberland. Least Favourites are a few of the later ones, like Redheads and Two Sams.

How you got into the Chalet School: When I was about 20, my parents were moving house and I was helping them box stuff that had been in the roof storage cupboard for most of my life, when I came across hardbacks of Head Girl and Rivals. They had belonged to Mum as a teenager, but she had never really gotten into the Chalet School stories, and they were the only ones she had. I read them, loved them, and now have every book including all the fill ins!

How you found the CBB: Trying to google information about random facts in CS stories.

Nice to meet you all!

Oh good - now to get posting, since arguing with your guardian isn't much fun, and your status will change quite often at this stage!

Glad you enjoyed it! I am yet to make my way to the UK, but it is on my "To Do Very Soon" List!
