When you post your profile, please do so in this manner:

Name:Nancy

Age 68

Location:Scotland

Husband,two daughters and five grandchildren

Favourite and least favourite books and characters:Tyrol,Guernsey and Armishire, with Jo of CS as favourite. Not fond of later Swiss books.

How you got into the Chalet School: I started in the Public Library, such lovely long books and a series that seemed to be endless!
Rediscovered at a jumble sale box in 1970's and now have read them all, and kept the hardbacks of pre Swiss era. My bedtime reading!

How you found the CBB: On line!

Hello Nancy, welcome! I'm glad you're enjoying the Advent stories (so am I!).

Incidentally, are your daughters into the CS or did it pass them by? I'm always intrigued by these generational things, especially as I know of a few mother/daughter pairs of CS fans :) (not me and mine, though, alas).

One daughter is not really into them. Not bloodthirsty enough I suspect. The other daughter has been and might return. Granddaughters are too young yet and the touch and feel of a "real" book may be something they find just too old fashioned?
I keep my hardbacks ready and waiting!
