Hello! My board name is Bibliophil ...my name is Jean.
I am in the second half of my fifties (like the second week of a holiday it is passing fast).
I live in Kent.
I have a lovely SLOC, four children, two grandchildren.
I was a lecturer and teacher.
It seems odd to be introducing myself, because I feel like I know you all already. I love to browse the forum and really enjoy reading the contributions.
The first EBD book I read was a Birthday present from my big sister, The Wrong CS. It hooked me...I collected many more from charity shops. My favourite books are set in the Tyrol...and my favourite character...I feel like it SHOULD be Joey, and it feels disloyal to say it isn't ...but I'm not sure.
Reading the books is pure escapism to a world where whatever happens, the day ends in safety...with plenty of good food on the way. What more can you ask?

Welcome Bibliophil - what a great name :D

I have just finished a reread of Wrong and thought what an excellent book it is, even though it isn't set in the Tyrol - that's also my favourite location.

:D But it's much nicer for the rest of us to get to know you, Jean - good evening and welcome.

PS If you think your fifties are speeding by, your sixties aren't any better!

I can most definitely concur with that, Noreen, as I will be leaving my own sixties in six months time. Where did they go?

Hello and welcome to the board, Jean. :D Glad you've been enjoying it already.

Welcome Jean, from someone who leaves her 50s behind in just over a month! They have certainly flown by.

It's nice to get to know more about you.
