Thanks Victoria. I thought she had written more than 25 books...

Nevertheless at £2.49 it's worth it to me not having to download even 10 of them from P.G.

I rather like the idea of one volume as well instead of losing them in my overfull Kindle - sadly I am not very organised. I do better with bookshelves!

Me too, Gil. I've only got a few ABs and have wanted to read more but couldn't be bothered to download the PG ones. Apart from Patriotic Schoolgirl, which I did enjoy.

Whilst buzzing through today's various Kindle offers (there seem to be many different sections at the moment) I came across at least 3 books by Joan Aiken at 99pence that I hadn't met before.

Worth a trawl if you enjoy her adult stuff as well as the children's....

Bookworm: A Memoir of Childhood Reading by Lucy Mangan is 99p for Kindle today. Highly recommend it - I had the hardback as a birthday gift.

I haven't checked today, as I've been on the road, but yesterday evening I found that D L Sayers Unpleasantness at the Bellona Club was 99p, for anyone who hasn't got it.

I'd been swithering over it, but reluctant to pay a lot in case I found it hard going. When the notification came through from EReaderIQ this morning that it was 99p, I thought it was worth a punt.

I really enjoyed it too. Interesting but sad that many girls looked forward to going to boarding school after reading EBD and Enid Blyton but were soon disillusioned. Have started thread to discuss this and CBB-eers' own experiences.

Just trawling the Kindle February sale. Pleased to find one of my favourite books there - Josephine Tey's The Daughter of Time.

Also possibly of interest :
Georgette Heyer 's Charity Girl (definitely not a favourite of mine)

I always seem to be plugging my books on here but if you'd like a kind of GO(ish) FREEBIE, The Convalescent Corpse is FREE today and tomorrow (Sunday) all across Amazon. This is the UK link: https://amzn.to/2Iggsvi
It's had some fabulous reviews, my favourite being: 'gloriously batty but ever hopeful' :D

Just wanted to add my positive review: an absolutely delightful read! I loved how "real" the eccentric family were, as well as how well you transported us into a world so different from our own.

Now just going to go back to hoping for another Charlotte Richmond...
