Starting tomorrow at 8pm on BBC 2, for people with access to British TV. Michael Portillo's following a guidebook from 1913, which, going by the publication date of School At, was when the Bettanys left India. The first episode is going to finish in Simla/Shimla, which was the summer capital of the Raj, in "the Hills" where Juliet went to school :D .

Thanks, Alison. I enjoy Michael Portillo's railway journeys especially when I have a connection, however tenous, to them. I'll look out for it tomorrow.
