Me again, plugging yet another new book. The Convalescent Corpse, my very, very cosy mystery set in 1918, will be published as an ebook on Tuesday, 20th November and is now available to pe-order on Amazon. Amazon UK link: https://amzn.to/2DOhRXK
This is the blurb:
"A story of Family, Rationing and Inconvenient Corpses.
Life in 1918 has brought loss and grief and hardship to the three Fyttleton sisters. Helped only by their grandmother (a failed society belle and expert poacher) and hindered by a difficult suffragette mother, as well as an unruly chicken-stealing dog and a house full of paying-guests, they now have to deal with the worrying news that their late – and unlamented – father may not be dead after all. And on top of that, there’s a body in the ha-ha."

You probably don't remember but ages ago I asked for suggestions for books for girls and young women that were written around the end of WW1. I had lots of great suggestions and a couple of you even gave me books. Thank you again.

Edited to correct title. Got my own book title wrong :(

Yes, Crowded Coffin is another of Nicky's books - but the cover art of this shows a coffin, which is probably what made her put the wrong title up

How well you know me, Ruth! I keep getting them mixed up. And I really wanted a hen sitting on the coffin but didn't get my way.

Aw, thanks, Mrs Helston. I've had some great reactions so far, citing I Capture the Castle, Angela Brazil in Midsomer, and Little Women - and today 'reminded me of the Cazalets' :D
