I don't much like Bath Tangle. I don't think all her books are peppered with exclamation marks - just those that feature some not-so-sensible people. I don't much like The Grand Sophy either.

For non-Regency I recommend These Old Shades, still one of my favourites....

And I am very partial to the military ones, though I know they are not to everyone's taste - The Spanish Bride and An Infamous Army. I see wiki has managed to omit both of those from their list of her books :shock:
