Starting a new tennis thread as the old one is locked, and I can't believe, on day 4 of French Open and with Queens & Wimbledon on the horizon, that we won't be needing one!

Looking out for Jo-Wilfried today ... :D

Thanks for starting a new one abbeybufo - you're quite right, I think we would need one!

Jo is playing quite well so far - allez the French! :D

Quite a few upsets already in both men's and women's..it's getting interesting.

In the event they didn't show much of Jo's match, though it doesn't seem as if he had much trouble, as Gael was struggling to get past Diego Schwartzman so they showed all 5 sets of that.

But glad he's through - and well done Mahut getting past Gulbis, too!

Gael had me worried. I'm looking forward to a QF between him and Roger!

And me, I'm glad it won't be a repeat of Andy vs Monfils like last year - that really had me on edge!

Kyle Edmund has had to pull out due to injury, so Kygios gets a w/o - probably to meet Andy. Such a shame.

Oh no! Hadn't seen that - what a swizz! He did so well yesterday, too.

That was pleasantly painless :D ... but why oh why did the draw have to put Rafa and Nole in the same quarter :banghead: ?

Shame about Wozniacki - I'd so love to see her win a Grand Slam title, but I don't think it's ever going to happen.

So pleased about Kokkinakis coming down from 2 sets to 0 down - I do not like Tomic, whereas Kokkinakis seems like a nice lad.

It's just the "luck" of the draw I suppose.

Tomic choked from what it looks like. I don't know much about Kokkinakis but he seems less arrogant than Kyrgios.

I'm the same about Caro - esp after all that Rory stuff last year. I hope Azarenka beats Serena.

Heather's gone now as well.

Fabrice in a kilt!

And how!

That'll be a nice match up on Sunday.

Nice order of play tomorrow as well - Andy on first so I can then finish studying!

Mmm :D . And David has finally managed to win, and Gasquet finished his match just in time for the Cup Final!

It does it to be annoying :banghead: . Oh well, maybe the forecast'll be wrong.

Serena speaks excellent French, just like a CS girl :D . Most of the players from English-speaking countries don't even try!

Ah, I only caught the first set of that, I thought Vika would win...

Even Rafa speaks some French in the post match on court interview.

I think I heard them say that Kei doesn't speak very good English...and that's true, I've never heard him speak yet.

The scheduling in Paris is notoriously bad, but please tell me that they aren't planning to try to squeeze 5 matches on to each of the show courts tomorrow  . But, if not, why not put today's last 2 matches on to another court, instead of postponing them?

According to the commentary just now, the last match for each of the 2 show courts is now to be played as the first on that court tomorrow ... suppose the players are too 'important' to be put on to a lesser court?
