Prayers and positive thoughts for Nicola.

Update on D. He is still in hospital, as his leg is very swollen. He's itching to get home, but needs a comprehensive care package to be in place before that can happen.

His wife B is in respite care. One good thing out of all of this, is that they will both get a comprehensive needs assessment. There is no way that things could go back to the way they were, with B being totally dependent on D for her care.

Prayers and paws crossed for the best possible outcome for them, and I really hope that they get all the support that they need.

Nicola has had blood tests but GP is as sure as he can be without them that it is glandular fever :-(

Thanks for your support.

Prayers for my friend B, please. She is struggling with debt and depression, and is afraid she may be made homeless.

Positive thoughts and prayers for all who need them.

Caroline, I hope your GP can start treatment for Nicola without waiting for the blood test results; I also echo Cestina's advice that Nicola shouldn't struggle to do things if she isn't up to it.

Thank you for your positive thoughts for my friend B - someone has offered to pay her rent which gives her a breathing-space and time to look for permanent solutions.

The Justice and Peace (!) group at church is having a terrific row amongst itself over a member's funeral wishes/arrangements. I'd appreciate some prayers for all concerned, including A's family, who are in danger of getting it in the neck from someone because of her/their choices.

Of course Frauj. I hope everything can be sorted out amicably and in accordance with A's wishes.

Prayers for A's family, who won't be needing this situation at all, but particularly for the Justice and Peace group to find their way back to the meaning of their name!

Went back to GP with Nicola again. Excema-y stuff on scalp. He was worried it might be impetigo :-( so more antibiotics and two lots of creams. One for face and the other for head and arm.

The blood test for the full body count has come back fine but she looks utterly miserable

Thank you for the kind messages and support - it's very much appreciated xx

I'm running my first ever Beaver Scout sleepover tomorrow - 11 very excited 6-8 year olds sleeping in a Scout Hut. Paws crossed for me, please!

Paws tightly crossed, Chattie. Back in the day I took my Brownies on Pack Holiday weekends three years running. Great fun but each time I lost half a stone, worrying about it all!.

Hope it goes ok Chattie. Our Rainbow Sleepover caused me no end of wibbles and it wasn't even my licence!

I did a sleepover last year for our church junior youth group years 5/6. We had 2 female leaders with 8 girls - I think I had about 2 hours' sleep. The boys were a bit better, male leaders said they got about 5 hours. Hope it goes well!

All the positive thoughts for the Beaver Sleepover worked extraordinarily well, thank you very much! We wore them out with a visit to the Cubs and Scouts who were camping in Cheshire and then we slept over at a local scout hut. They were dead to the world by 21:15 and, with the exception of one who woke at about 03:20 a bit upset but settled back down again, the next disturbance wasn't until 06:30. Even then, those who were awake were just whispering so we managed to doze still and didn't need to get up until 07:30!

And, no, I didn't 'dose' them all to ensure they slept!

Update on my friend M's grand-daughter C: she has just had a PET scan with a result that shows she is now free from cancer. A big thank you to God, and to everyone who prayed for her/ sent positive thoughts...

Edited to add thank-you to the excellent team of doctors and nurses too.
