I suspect we've all been there, too - not that that's any consolation. Wishing you something happy to balance things up, Minim.

I've just been looking at the Grammy Awards on MSN.

The men who were in black tie evening dress, and Tony Bennett who wore a tailored suit with a red tie, were fine.

The women's clothes lacked only two things - style and class. They'd obviously spent small fortunes on their clothes, but to me, it was money wasted.

A certain edge when she spoke of Mrs Maynard, certainly, but, after all, not everyone could love Joey.

*shrug* I guess it wasn't to them, which is really the thing that matters.

I put a bet on the Grand National purely because the jockey was called Davy Russell and have won £20 :D

I wish I'd noticed that the jockey was called Davy Russell, then I'd've picked that one too - mine seemed to give up with about 5 fences to go! Maybe he's Madge and Jem's great-grandson, named after his grandfather David?

I've not really watched much horse racing but any time I hear of a Russell or a Maynard anywhere I wonder if they could be a relation. :)

The factory's new supplier in Coronation Street - which obviously is real - is called Bob Maynard.

Completely unrelated to the above, but I found this interesting (especially given the number of preganancies in the CS!)

Still amazed that Joey didn't noticed that Madge was "busy" with Sybil though!

A friend of a friend felt ill a couple of months ago - and later that day produced a baby! She and her husband are thrilled, but were rather under-prepared!

When you can literally *taste* that your flatmate has been showering from the opposite end of the flat... :bawling:

Whoo! For the first time in a very long while, I picked up a Chalet School book! I'm now five chapters into School At. I feel like I've drifted away from the CS, and I wanted to drift back, and maybe pick up my fanfiction again - although not Maynard Madness! I'm not touching that with a barge-pole! I've resolved to pay closer attention to the books this time. :)

Aloha!

I've been doing a lot of melting recently. Seems to be cooling down though, thank Bob.
