Oh yes, it's certainly still there. I just don't like theme parks and it does sound terrible theme-parkish; even the zoo bit!

There should be a thread for Absolutely Knackered! Anyone on Facebook or Twitter, please excuse the fact that I'm all over them like a rash, pimping the new book. Publisher's attitude is - 'No, of course it's not compulsory, but...' I can take a hint and there's only one more week of full-on frenzy (with a blog tour) and then I can crawl into a hole.
Bear with me for a bit longer, please...

What's a blog-tour when it's at home? Or presumably not at home?

Something I'm slightly dreading - book has been sent out to people who blog about and review books, blog tour=a week of the bloggers revealing their thoughts. Head above the parapet stuff. Sigh.

Sounds fascinating for readers, but could be somewhat traumatic for the author, Sealpuppy? Hope it's all positive, anyway. I have my copy and am looking forward to reading it before long!

Hope the blog tour goes like a dream, Nicky! (A good dream, that is  )

I am happy today because I'm having a good day and have actually been able to do some tidying up in my room. I haven't been able to do much in that way for about six weeks and it's really been getting to me. I'm really hoping I haven't done too much, and that I'll be able to do a bit more tomorrow and be getting back to a more 'normal' level of energy!

Yay for a good day and fingers crossed for baby steps with no setbacks. What a pig of an illness it is - gives it a hard stare!

Thank you Nicky!

Woke up this morning to the sound of happy shrieks - looked out of the window and we've had an inch of snow! So exciting!

Six more jobs applied for this morning.

Surely, one day, I must get lucky?

Of course you will Liz. I have every confidence that the new dream job is just around the corner.

Good luck Liz. After a week back at work I am now on holiday. Going down to Cardiff today to watch football and then off to Innsbruck on Sunday. :D :D

Hope you have a splendid holiday, exile.

Fingers crossed, Liz - and have fun, Exile. We stayed in Jenbach one New Year and had a day in Pertisau, including a sleigh ride in the snow. It was magical and I didn't even have to keep an eye on any potentially consumptive children!

I'm absolutely shattered today.

I spent early Friday evening acting as a marshal for our annual Christmas market, lights switch-on and carol concert given by the junior schools' choirs.

I had a good night's sleep, but even after that, I slept for four hours on Saturday afternoon, and now I just want to go to sleep again.

Please don't point out that I'm getting old, I already feel ancient.

I'm just back from a Christmas markets trip to Cologne/Koln. It snowed yesterday morning, which was rather festive :D :santa: .

(I am trying not to think about the fact that it's only 3 weeks till Christmas, I haven't finished unpacking because I only got home at about 11 o'clock last night, and I've now got to go into work and my colleague is off sick ...!!)

Ate, drank and spent rather too much, but it was a lovely few days!
