It's not nice for those of us who worked bank holiday Monday! We were melting :( but I'm off now for a few days so I hope it lasts :D

Paddy had his injections yesterday and NO anaphylactic shock this time - so relieved. This should probably be in the Dogs Dinner thread but it's a bit of a crossover as we're happy :D :D :D

Wasn't sure whether to post this in here or in the pedant thread. But on my way home at the end of a busy day at work, I saw a man with a t-shirt bearing the slogan: 'I'm silently correcting your grammar'. It cheered me up no end!

Had a lovely day out yesterday with cousins I don't see often, exploring several interesting things on Birminham University Campus - The Barber Institute, and Winterbourne House and its gardens, lovely sunshne too which we enjoyed while catching up on family news.

That brings back memories - I was a student there, many moons ago!

I'm extremely proud of myself! Last week was ME Awareness Week and I posted a post on my blog every day about it, and had some really good reactions and discussions. I'm exhausted now but SO pleased I did it!

And so you should be - that can't have been easy, Abbey. I read most of them, and thought how well you'd expressed what is a very difficult subject. Sorry I haven't commented, but I have a severely depressed SLOC, and sometimes there isn't as much time and attention left for other people as there should be.

Your blog was brilliantly written, Abbey. As Noreen said, you should be very proud of yourself.

Thank you Alison and Noreen  Noreen, please don't feel bad about not having commented! I'm sorry about your SLOC; I hope the depression eases off a bit soon.

I feel like people here might appreciate this tweet I just saw:

"Glorious snippet of two ladies at an 80th bday party:

'I like to keep the brain going with Sudoku.'
'Do you dear? I find it frightfully dull after Bletchley.'"

I went to Windermere today - for some exercise after spending the entire day yesterday parked in front of the telly - and there was a Bavarian band from Bowness's twin town of Diessen-am-Ammersee playing in the bandstand by the lakeside. OK, not quite a Tyrolean band, but very nearly!
