Brilliant news, Supersal! :-D Some bosses are beyond belief. My SLOC handed in his notice once and his boss sniffed, 'Is this real or are you just angling for a rise?' He'd been with the company for 19 years and worked his socks off. Luckily the new company appreciated him and yes, he had a hefty rise too.'

Fantastic news supersal!! Some employers can be unbelievable... Despite some typical CS-type moments (man fell on top of me at speed on the bus this morning and my shoulder is still very sore, bus home was an hour late), I made it to Annecy and had a lovely lovely day with Jools! :) I can confirm it really is very pretty and the ice cream IS That Good! :-)

Lovely news Supersal!

I also had a lovely day in Annecy with roversgirl. Discovered some new places and discovered that the rule of no buses then the turning up at the same time also holds good in France. :)

Edited to correct the autocorrect of Supersal's name. Apologies for not noticing it sooner.

Met a Town Councillor today, one I used to work with and she said how well I was looking. I told her that it was because I am no longer taking medication which was slowly poisoning me.

I also mentioned having to stay within easy reach of the bathroom because I drank two litres of spring water every day for the first fortnight to flush the drugs out of my body.

Yay for happiness. In all the madness this week, I realise what an awesome team of volunteers and interns we have and between us... we're staying afloat... just!

Had a fantastic week in the Tirol last week (much relieved that SLOC loved it as much as I did!). We stayed four nights in Seefeld, from whence we did a coach trip into Bavaria to go to Neuschanwstein Castle and Oberammergau (yay, another place ticked off the CS bucket-list!) and a train trip into Innsbruck and three nights in Pertisau with the obligatory steamer and Achenseebahn rides of course! It was 6 years since my last visit to Pertisau. I was intrigued that the Alpenhof hotel ruins appear to have had some recent new shoring up (very new looking boarding) but at the same time, access to it seems to have been opened up and some of the undergrowth had recently been cleared.

Hello everyone! I’ve not been in for absolutely ages, but I thought I’d make the happiness thread my first stop :) I have a lot of joyous things that have happened lately. I’m finally Dr Finn, having finally graduated (and chattie was able to be at the ceremony which made it even more special - thank you, chattie). I’m now married!! We’ve been married for just over three months, and I am loving my new house with my lovely SLOC (a vicar) and our two adorable kittens, Whisper and Juni. We are also currently hosting a solitary hen, which is extra-lovely (temporary, but I’m hoping the vicar might be persuaded to consider our own in the future…)

Sadly my health is pretty bad, but I am supported and secure, which is a much better way to be ill than most of the ways I have been ill in the past!

Now I just need to get back into the habit of drabbling…! But hopefully I’ll have more time in the future to be around.

Congratulations Finn. Just a thought, years ago when I was a child our next door neighbours got chickens and we all watched as our tabby cat went into full stalking and attack mode on a creature that was bigger than her. Make sure your kittens and any new chickens are well separated. :D

Lovely to see you back here - I know some of us have kept up on FB, but it's still not quite the same. Raising an e-glass to drink to an improvement in your health!

Good to see you back on the Board, Finn- I looked at your profile earlier this week and was concerned that we'd not heard from you for over 11 months so I am relieved to hear that, whilst some things may not have been as you might have wished (health), other news is much more delightful!

How lovely to have you back on here Dr Finn! And with such excellent news (apart from the health) as well. I hope that on that front things will soon match up to the rest of your life.

We've missed you!

Congratulations and welcome back, Dr Finn. Lots of good news, but do hope health improves soon.

(Also hope you do have time to get back into Susie and Tristan's lives, and to share them with us! }
