Sounds fun, Emma! Last-minute hastily arranged work trips have been one of the many work-related banes of my life this year, BUT this one falls rather well as I shall be able to stay on and work remotely for the intervening time and spend Christmas with friends, not alone! :-)

How lovely! Have a fabulous time :D

Thanks! :-)

I finally got the date for my proceedure in Jan. Only been waiting since last August 2017!

I have a new food processor.

Last month, the food processor packed up so I went back to John Lewis as I had only had it for 6 months. They offered me a replacement at the same price but it was out of stock and they would contact me when it came in. I waited for a month but nothing happened. I found the same model on AO with next day delivery so ordered it. It arrived the next day as promised. I have started a batch of marmalade this morning as we had run out.

Great news, emma t, and hope the marmalade turned out well, Jenefer! After a wonderful Christmas break in the UK, I saw Jools and her SLOC today and we had a lovely day out exploring Lausanne. I may have had some rubbish moments this year, but I have met some lovely people and been reminded of all my friends everywhere :)

We had a lovely time too and SLOC was transfixed by the Olympic Museum. I feel our take on the day was better however

I am getting happier. On Friday I had the splints removed from my nose. Such a relief. though the action was painful for a few moments.

I don't like the new ENT Consultant very much, he's not in the least bit jolly the way Mr. Hasan was.

Good to hear Jennie!
I'm having my proceedure done on Tuesday and it involves an over night stay.
On an even happier note; my best friend booked our holiday to Spain for September. Yay!

Just back from a lovely long weekend in Pertisau! Masses of clean white snow, as you might expect from the news, and even one blizzard. But even with the really cold weather, very little sign of the lake freezing except at the shallow Maurach end.

It's raining! I think this is the first proper rain we've had all year.

Just had an excellent, relaxing and reinvigorating break back home (and the rain started as I left :-) ) and now I am back to find a new job with a new mindset! :)

A Good morning, after a month of tooing and froing, have had the insurance co for my husbands car, agree to a straight forward repair instead of writing it off ( incident not our fault) They wanted to write the car off for a minor dent, their garage said it would cost £1500 to fix, our garage said £400, so they have agreed to settle it as a cash in lieu claim

It's mad, isn't it? I have been in The Cotswalds this weekend, ate ice cream in Bourton-On-The Water on Saturday, which just seemed wrong on all levels! Stratford was also very hot today :)

I've just had a weekend country-dancing in Worthing, and was walking by the sea yesterday afternoon in just a t-shirt, cardigan and thin trousers...
