I had a great day at the Edinburgh fringe yesterday. Went to see four items - two music, one a musical and the fourth to Hearts football stadium, Tynecastle, about the Hearts 1914 foot all team most of whom joined up together. Really good- and sad - and a bonus was seeing the ground.

Of course, none of my things were near each other. At least not consecutively. Priorities when I got back to the station with 15 mins to spare were food, hot drink, something to read and, of course, the loo (well queued). Did not manage the hot drink or something to read!

Back again a week on Saturday and also planning a visit to Tynecastle to see a football match.

I think one of the main reasons people started drifting away was actually when the fiction was moved off the board. I understand why that decision was taken, but it took a lot of the action elsewhere.
The FB action started when people who were already on FB realised they had CS in common and started interacting there, and there are people there who don't see any reason to join here...

The games threads are still quite popular, but people aren't commenting much in Special Sixth and LB&LB.

Yes, it was a great shame that the fiction had to move. I have really lost twice over because I never read any fiction now and I used to enjoy it. I just forget that it's there, whereas it was very easy to drop in to before, when everything was under one roof.

Where is the fiction now? I think I knew at one point where it had moved but I have forgotten. Also, why did it have to move?

I think there was a problem with space, so Liss started the Sally Denny Library. Unfortunately there are problems with that - it's still possible to read what's there, but nobody can login to update or comment. Many people liked the old format, so Lesley started Lime Green Musing.

Yes, there was an issue with bandwidth - we kept having to archive things.

I had a lovely daytrip to Kandersteg and Oechinsensee (lake) yesterday, inspired by the EJO Tazy books. Such a beautiful, calm and unspoiled place :-)

Oh yes! 'New' and 'In Camp' (both Chambers hardbacks) - I could have bought the three others they also had (but that would have been naughty).

Various first editions including 'Reunion' priced at £150  The chap at the till asked if I'd seen it when I was paying for the others. I said I had, and I'd also seen the price. Needless to say I didn't buy any of those!

Picked up 'You're a brick Angela' as well, which looks good.

Few others as well that I'd been on the hunt for - finished my Swallows and Amazons set with Coot Club!

And I thougth the days of silly prices (OK apart from 1st eds of School at the Chalet) were over - though I suppose I'm not entirely surprised. Great that you had such good results, though!

I wonder if that's the same copy of Reunion that I've seen at several different book fairs  . Maybe there are loads which are all priced at £150, but I'm sure I keep seeing the same one.
