I've spoken to two of her children, and explained why I won't be going to the crematorium. they were quite happy that I would go to the church.

New appointment for colonoscopy. Saturday 26th May.

So sorry, Jenn. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was meant to have my regular injection today. When I rang the pharmacy to ask them to take it out of the fridge, I discovered that it had not been ordered (their mistake).

I'm on holiday all next week, so the first appointment I could get without having to take time off work (again) or ring up on the day was 6pm on Wednesday 6th June!

I just hope I can keep going until then. Same happened this time last year, but I wasn't working then.

At least the man did come to do the gas safety check, which I'd rearranged for today. I was a bit worried, because the housing association didn't seem to have a record of the fact that I'd changed the date. They've even sent me a couple of warning letters about it!

Ironically, the second one arrived about half an hour before the man doing the check, so I showed it to him. He said that his reporting of a successful call would clear it off the system. I hope so!

Imagine if something similar happened to an older, frailer person. They would probably be frantic!

Edited once to correct a typo

Jenn, what a terrible thing to happen. I'm so sorry.

Just to let you know, I survived the colonography, and managed it without sedation, just had gas and air. Apparently, I have a beautiful, healthy colon.
