It's been happening for a while for me, but I've only just bothered to ask about it! I've tried turning notifications off and on again, changing the email address and sending fake reviews to check, all to no avail!

Thanks, Mia - appreciated :)

I appreciate that this is probably stating the ridiculously obvious and I'm sure you've thought of it already, but could your e-mail have suddenly randomly decided (as mine sometimes bizarrely does with things it's never had a problem with before) to put them in a spam/junk folder?

Good question. I will check. Usually I look at them on my phone, not online, so it could well have started doing that!

Eta: Alison, I'm embarrassed to admit that you were entirely right in your surmise! For no good reason gmail decided they were spam. I have disabused it of this notion and am now expecting to receive notifications if and when they appear! Thank you :)

I've just remembered that a while ago, my gmail account decided that SDL updates were spam but not CBB pms for no apparent reason.

Sorry that was too late to help. :D

I've just started receiving a delightfully thorough series of spam comments on my SDL stories - starting with titles beginning with "A". So far they've got as far as "C".

If nothing else it's an amusing reminder of just how many fics I have posted there...

It's nothing personal - see my whinge about it . I haven't had any for a while (touch wood!) - maybe they target one author at a time?

I've had one too; they obviously like people whose usernames begin with A! So disappointing thinking you've got a new review only to find it's a spammer. :(

It's not just "A" authors - I've had one, too, and I haven't even got much there.

Hallo Nightwing, good to see you hereabouts!

I too have had further spam on stories beginning with B and D! Most irksome.

Help! I'm no longer receiving alerts about people posting a review on ND. This has happened for two chapters now. I've clicked and re-clicked the little box to receive but nothing is happening. Any clues?

I'd be grateful for some help on this. :dontknow:

I also stopped receiving emails about threads I had been following. I've re-set it today and it seems to work again.

I'm getting notifications of ND, Mary, which is the only one on SDL I am signed up for. It is so long since I posted anything there I can't remember the last time I was notified of a review.

Check your spam? This happened to me once and it turned out my spam filter had gone into overdrive suddenly!

I have ND notifications today!! Bizarre. :dontknow: I had already re-set it several times, Gottfried, but no luck, so no idea what happened this time. Will see how it goes. Abbey, nice to know you're following it there.

Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone.

I've had a notification of an update of MaryR's New Dreams but when I clicked on the link I got the following message
'Access denied. This story has not been validated by the adminstrators of this site.'
It's also not showing when you go to the stories updated in the last 7 days.

Mary emailed me last night in case I could think of any remedies, as she had thought she was reloading it - it ends mid-sentence; I'd just read it - and instead the whole of ND 9 had disappeared. I could only suggest she used the 'admin@sallydennylibrary...' email link to see if it could be retrieved, so she doesn't have to upload them all again.

Glad it's not just me! I read the new chapter then clicked on Reviews, got message - no reviews - , tried to go back to story and it wasn't there, and as you say, whole of part 9 has vanished. Do hope it can be retrieved without too much trouble.
