Mary was going out for the day today, so I've told her to try and put it aside while she's out, and hope there will be a response or a solution when she comes home to her computer.

At least getting LGM up to the same point as SDL would be a partial and less taxing way of moving forward in the interim.

Have been to Chester and back today to visit with a friend, so thought I'd come on here now and apologise for the loss of Vol 9. Ivohenry, I'm astonished you read it all while I was struggling with the last several paragraphs which just wouldn't stick. I went back several times and clicked Edit, to have a go at those paragraphs but to no avail, so decided to delete the whole thing and start again - which I've done before - but, lo and behold, I'd deleted the whole volume instead. I still have no idea what I did wrong.

I contacted Liss this morning, thanks to Ruth, but so far there's been no response. I can only wait - or start posting them all again.

Thanks for all your assistance, Ruth, and thanks to those who inquired about the missing chapter.

Sorry, Ruth, not going to happen. I struggle too much to read on LGM's grey background to want to make it my default mode. Have too many problems with my eyes, alas. But I would still have to post those 30+ chapters again on SDL, or the whole thing would make no sense.

Thanks so much for all your help and encouragement, Ruth, but I've heard nothing from Liss yet, and don't really want to start posting again if she can retrieve it - although my hoping that is a bit like tilting at windmills, I suspect. Pretty hopeless, in other words.

Thank you again for also posting on LGM's soothing background. It is so much less glaring and painful than SDL....

I seem to be posting too much at once, but they are al spaced out. I'm actually not sure whether to ask this here or start a new thread. Several of ND readers have told me they're unable to *favourite* my latest volume - the one I'm having to re-post!

Are other folk having this problem, and is there a reason? My readers would like to be able to receive an alert, rather than having to keep checking in. And no, posting an alert on the board doesn't work for some.

It's working for me ... I'm getting emails OK for all of the latest posts, and it is 'favourited'

Bizarre, isn't it, abbey, when a third person told me today they weren't getting alerts. I do warn them they have to go to the second page and click *submit.*

Anyway, thanks for responding and giving me some reassurance.

...and it's *still* working, as I've had today's alert in my inbox :)

Wonder what is going wrong with the others?

I've had half a dozen spam reviews overnight - involving shoes for sale! Anyone else, or have I been specially selected for some reason  ?

Yep, so have I. Looks as if the whole SDL was spammed :(

Every one of the volumes in ND has had a spam message re shoes attached, long and ugly in the sense that they make no sense. I've reported it but can anyone do anything?

Ditto me, though thankfully they've only done about 7 of the stories. There's a awful lot of them there to spam, maybe they started down my list, looked at when they were all last updated and though it wasn't worth it :-D

Is anyone else having problems with Lime Green Musings? I have just tried to get on there to alter my signature and all I get is the ominous message 502 Bad Gateway

I will drop Lesley a line but thought I would flag it up on here too....
