Signatures

Signatures should be NO MORE than 3 lines long (this is a fixed-width board, so that should be easy to judge), and should be reduced in size thus: [ size= 85 ]signature text here [ / size ] (remove spaces). Any problems, please ask a mod to help you

To edit your signature go to:

>> User Control Panel

>> Profile (in the side menu)

>> Edit Signature (in the side menu.

Type your signature in the box indicated and press submit. Your signature should now appear at the bottom of your posts. If you don't want your signature to appear for any reason then you can un-check the "attach a signature" button which is below the text entry box on each post.

Proper English Please

P.E.P. was a groovy initiative that was started on the old CBB. Basically, it's just to ask CBBers to make sure that they use proper English in their posts. We all appreciate that, when typing, mistakes in spelling and punctuation etc are bound to happen, and few of us are nidgetty enough to get angst-ridden over it. However, posts that use text-speke (u for you, b4 for before) etc are both annoying and, for some CBBers, next to incomprehensible. So, though some of you find it quicker, don't!

P.E.P. also encompasses how you express yourself. Complete sentences are good (though obviously chants, taunts etc are a different matter ) with appropriate capitalisation, punctuation etc. We are all (generally speaking) fairly literate people: we have no excuse! As an addendum to this, typing in all upper-case/capital letters, is regarded in most areas of the internet as shouting, as well as being difficult to read. Please use appropriate capitalisation.

Decent English in posts makes the CBB a much more pleasant forum of which to be a part. Furthermore, we always have to think about what Miss Annersley would say...

Spreeing

Posting immediately after you have just posted on the same thread, this is discouraged.

Ways to Avoid Spreeing

1. Edit your last post to add/change what you want.
2. Wait for someone to respond and then reply.
3. If you want to be sure that people on the look-out for orange post indicators read your post, delete the original and repost your comments with any desired changes.

Multiple Identities

Registering multiple identities can indeed be fun, however it does rather clart up the works, and give the Sheepdogs problems. Unless it is for significant dramatic effect or there’s a very good reason, please could you not do it. If you have already registered an alternative personality and wish, down the line, to create another, it might be easier to change the details of your original alternative, so in essence it’s a new character without any of the clarting

Sponsorship Requests

We know that many of you do all sorts of wonderful and crazy things in the name of charity which, of course, we think is ace! However, it is CBB policy that members shouldn't post requests for sponsorship on the board and any such posts will be politely (of course) removed. Thank you!
