One of the most common questions when people find the CBB is, How do I complete my Chalet School collection? Not to mention, Which books are worth buying uncut versions of? A lot of people don't even realise that the Armada paperbacks were abridged.

Below we hope to give you a helping hand to complete your collection.

The books are abridged??!!

Yes, many of the Armada paperbacks were abridged from the original hardback text, the early paperbacks by EBD herself! For a full guide to edits you can download a ticklist for yourself and keep tabs on what books you own.

The good news for those whose purses don't stretch to buying HBs is that
Girls Gone By Publishers are currently reprinting the books in unedited versions with the original illustrations, however, many have already gone out of print.

A good source for paperbacks, hardbacks or GGBP is ebay, and there is a list of children’s book dealers here in Sales and Wants, also in Sales and Wants there are often CBB'ers selling copies of CS titles.
