It's ridiculous - it's happened before and the whole site was taken down. Goodness knows what attracts them to a small internet business like that one!

I hope they are able to get it sorted soon. It sounds a very annoying thing to happen.

I think it is sorted. They're looking at site redesign though and asking for suggestions.

Just a reminder that GGBP and FOCS will be closed from 5 pm BST on Wednesday April 16, reopening at 9 am on Monday April 28. Any orders received before noon on April 16 should be sent out before they close. Any orders placed via the website during the break and any voice-mail messages will be dealt with after they reopen.

The new GGBP website is up and running! It went live on Monday -do go and look at it. There are some new books announced, with publication dates up to September, including the second one in the Chloe series by Phyllis Matthewman. You may find some inconsistencies in information - for example, the forthcoming books which had been previously announced on the old site (including the CS Encyclopaedia Volume 2) don't yet have the projected publication dates on the new site, but Clarissa is working on sorting this out.

Also, to save me spreeing again, GGBP will be closed for their Spring break from 5 pm BST on Friday June 6 to 9 am BST on Monday, June 16. As always, any orders received before noon on June 6 will be processed before they close; those received during the break will be processed as soon as they reopen.

Does anyone know if they intend to reprint any more by Gwendoline Courtney? It's been a year or more since the last one they did.

I just popped on. Great to see they are working on a list of all the books that they have published.

Mine arrived yesterday as well. Very thin book, although I did enjoy it. :D

What is the novella about Robin like? Would have bought it if it hadn't been paired with Mystery, which I've got a copy of.

It was okay. I enjoyed reading - again very short! Thought the characterisation of Robin was good. A bit sickly though. - but true to Robin :D

What happens in the novella - could someone post a brief synopsis?

I think you summed it up very well, Chubby Monkey!

I've never read "Mystery" before so I am pleased to have it if only as an aspiring completist and I quite enjoyed it!

I didn't really mind the inconsistencies in its supposed time period - people travelling back and forward to Hollywood in the middle of a war and someone possessing a tin of sweets! - but my teeth were set on edge with the continual use of 'flicks' to mean everything from the nitty-gritty of film work to a visit to the local cinema.

It was a slang term in popular use during and after the war but it's unlikely the Chalet School girls would have used it all the time in preference to 'cinema' or 'film' and Dorcas's use of it is occasionally bizarre. I suppose it's just an extreme example of EBD's penchant for finding a word or phrase she likes and using it at every possible opportunity!

Joining in the thanks. I'll stick with my copy of Mystery.

Thanks Laura!

I, personally am disappointed as I already have this in a very nice hb edition but hopefully something else might come up that I will buy - and I haven't yet bought Mystery or pre-ordered the Encyclopedia so they will keep me going.

I will be ordering, as collecting all of them in these editions - but I'm surprised they've decided to do Princess - aren't there some later titles still to be published which are less available?

Emma - I'm longing for a re-issue of Reunion or new editions of Trials/Theodora/Richenda. One day...

Reunion would be nice, as my GGB edition is getting a bit worn too!
