Do hope the enforced break means that those who are currently writing drabbles on SDL are busy with lots of chapters to post when it is back online!!

I've got a new short story ready to go and a big chunk of my saga!

Does any body know how Liss is getting on sorting out the problem? The problem has been there for a long time and Liss has been back from the USA for several weeks now. Some idea even if it will be several more weeks would be nice to know. Thank you.

She might have been back for several weeks, she also has a life and a full time job. And you get to use SDL and the CBB for free... if it was a pay to use site, I could understand the angst but you're just going to have to wait for it to be fixed. Maybe read some of the original drabbles in the cbb archives while you are waiting?

Hi, Liss fixed it when she got back from America but it went down again and I'm afraid it's going to be a long fix.

Thanks Mia. I have been enjoying rereading and finding new Drabbles in the random pop-up, even commenting on some I have found for the first time by using the anonymous option.

I will continue to enjoy renewing my knowledge of some of the older Drabbles.

It will be nice to have updates, but I can cope without until Liss has time and opportunity to ‘fix the blitz’ as they say on a Children’s TV programme.

I can be overbearingly smug in the meantime as I've read the next chapter of Myth's drabble.

Just went there to see what it would let me do, it did let me put a review on Bobcat's story which she is now posting on LGM. There is an awful lot of spam reviews on the story - and presumably others too - wonder if this is exacerbating the problem. Does any one know if it's a problem that has to wait til Liss has enough time to devote to it, or if it's something deeper with the server that is beyond her control?

The spam reviews seemed to have stopped, but I'm now getting the odd one again. It's affecting all the drabbles, as far as I know - umpteen different user names, but all the same "reviews", names of sportswear manufacturers! I think the original problem was that the web hosting company had changed access permissions because of all the spam - it triggered some sort of suspicious activity alert - so it's possibly the same problem again.

Yes, I saw the spam reviews all over my drabble. I presume once SDL is back up I can delete those as it's my story? I think I did delete a couple of others in the past.

Is there anything we can do to help get the site back up and running? It looks like a big job - but maybe it's more of a technical / server issue and not something we can help with?

It's the spam I'm afraid - the hosting company has frozen the site indefinitely. Thanks for the offer to help though.

What a pain. I hope they are charging Liss less (ouch) while the site is only partially functional.
