Another bit of London, 1934 today. This is almost finished, so will be able to pick up Jo's Boys again then.

You may also wish to see Abbeygirl[Fiona]'s take on Rosalie's wartime exploits in Paul Temple and the Chalet School Affair and Rosalie's Redemption

The Paul Temple one was being written at the same time as the section of Jo's Boys that is about to be posted, and is assumed, within my universe, to have happened as told there. The later one is unfinished and begins to take Rosalie in a different direction from the character in my story.

New Drabble A walk Among Headstones

Summary: Set in 2014, a young visitor to the Platz stumbles upon the Chapels and the graveyard set up later.

By the nature of this drabble there's LOTS of main character death. Apologies for any errors on dates, I've tried to make up reasonable birthdays and ages wherever I could. Although set in present day, apart from a few references setting the scene and character, it actually covers events happening from just after the series ends, up until the present day

Many thanks to JB, Vick and Finn for proofreading. Any errors as still mine, as I'm impatient to start posting. Hopefully they will catch any obvious errors before my next post!

I just want to thank all you updaters who post on this thread. I have actually started to read drabbles again - I hope I am not the only one who finds this thread helpful but you all have my heartfelt thanks :D

(PS I still find LGM confusing so am always happy to find the drabbles I like on SDL as well.....)

I'd like to second cestina's excellent words!

ETA: Perhaps this is at least a bit of a consolation for those of you who lament not still having the drabbles on the Board?

I hope you don't mind me tagging on to this thread, but I've been lurking and reading drabbles posted here and think it's a very good idea - and I've finally been encouraged to carry on with my own drabble, so I thought I might post a link to it here.

The Chalet School Does Its Best

Summary: The Chalet School has to learn to cope with a rather unusual new pupil - from Baghdad!
Set in the Tyrol years in that missing term after Princess At The Chalet School. It's a school story style thing, like the books themselves, only with some Arabic thrown in!

I've added a link to the Lime Green Musings version of the drabble (at least, I think I have - hope it works!). I've only just realised that I never posted the second chapter to the Sally Denny Library, so I shall come back later or tomorrow evening and do that.

Thanks!

Edited: the link didn't work! I'm trying again now.

Welcome back to posting. I love the drabble, suzy, be interested to see how it goes. You have caught the style of the earlier books beautifully, I think.

Apologies for the SDL spreeing, but have suddenly been attacked by bunnies, figured it was better to put them all in and just knock myself off the top of the Most Recent than wait and end up doing it to someone else. I'll try not to make a habit of it! :-)
