Hopefully this is just a temporary thing - the CBB and the SDL have both been a bit moody in the mornings the last couple of days, and I know this has affected other people too - but I can't post on the SDL on IE, where I'm logged in, and I can't log in on Chrome, where I'm not logged in! It was fine last night.

It looks like the exact same thing. Which means there's a solution. :dontknow:

As I keep logged in I was able to post a review

It doesl look exactly the same, would be great if someone who is in personal contact with Liss could ask how long it will be before she has time to fix it and let us know. It was the not knowing that was such a problem last time!

I've also just received the access denied message. :banghead: I was able to get in through an alert, but I got that message when I tried to respond to reviews posted on ND.

But if Liss is in US why is this happening? Is it gradually fading itself/us out?

ETA for the awful mistake I made earlier in the week.

Umm, what?

I think what Mia meant was that Liss in America so wouldn't be able to respond immediately.

Where she is has no bearing on the problems themselves She isn't causing them.

Only just seen your comment, JB, and didn't realise I'd said 'is she' when I'd only meant to ask jokingly was 'it', meaning 'the site' fading us out, ie having fun at our expense while Liss was away. Put the mistake down to the morphine and other strong painkillers I've been on for months. :bawling:

The Board logged me out and will not let me log in. The same problem I had last time. I wonder if the Board is getting too old or if the problem is the spam has over filled it.

I'm logged out too. I'm a little inclined to think that with or without the spam infiltrations, the Board's bandwidth or whatever may be almost full, and that's why there are these failures.
I wonder if Liss would consider creating a new, Archival site, and moving some of the older drabbles which haven't been accessed or added to in, say, the last five or six years into it - but at the same time have it set up so that readers can still access it? Just a thought; I've no idea whether it's feasible, or whether Liss would have the time needed to do it.

I doubt the size is an issue unless it's ridiculously full - even if it was that, there are so many spam accounts on SDL that haven't actually posted anything and hence could be deleted without consequence to free up the space. I would expect it's the same thing as last time, as in the hosting company have again changed the access permissions (although can't say for sure, obviously).

Until Liss returns to sort out the problem is there a way to post updates to Drabbles? We can use the guest system to post reviews. The code seems to easier to read this time and we can enter our board name in the name space so we are not anonymous, it seems a shame to have to wait for weeks again and we do not know how long Liss is away or how busy she will be on her return.

Would be good if you could mention problem to Liss when she gets back, Mia, don't know if anyone has actually reported it to her

I've had seven spam messages posted in Vol 7 of ND yesterday and today, but because I'm now logged out I can't delete them, as I have been doing. *sighs* Funny how the spammers can get on and do that, while most of us can't do anything at all on there.

I'm guessing the spammers haven't knocked the site off line deliberately so that they could spam it?

I can review as guest - and get email updates on a "favourite"

I think some of us can do things others can't - very odd!
