I'm not sure if this is a suggestion or a question, but is there any way one can tell if some of the longer drabbles are finished? I have tried reading some, and I feel some are really good stories, I remember trying one about the young Reg Entwhistle, but I find it intensely annoying when they are incomplete, as I don't have the time to scan for the next installment frequently enough to remember the last.
So my suggestion - could all drabbles be marked 'complete' or 'to be continued' or similar?

I agree with that wholeheartedly. I was really enjoying one called, I think, Gaby goes to the Chalet School, about a blind girl. It was very frustrating to come to the end of part 3 and discover there is no more - unless I haven't found it yet!
Edited once to correct typo.

If they're in the archives they are usually marked as unfinished, and if they're still in the drabble fora then they're usually marked "completed", if that's any help .

Traditionally, CBBers have modified the title lines of their drabbles when updating, so that the actual title is followed by (updated 22 Jan) or (completed 31 May 09). This makes it easier for those who prefer to read only completed drabbles and saves time for those who would rather come back to a drabble after it has been updated by the author rather than with another comment. (This also conserves bandwidth, though of course we don't mean to discourage readers who enjoy following comments on drabbles as they come in.)
In the index to archived drabbles (Index Drabble-orum, accessible from Ste. Therese), incomplete drabbles that can be archived as a single file (up to 25 pages long on the regular board) should be assumed to be complete unless there is some indicator such as "incomplete" or "beginning of a drabble."* Longer drabbles are archived in approximately 25 page increments, labeled "part 1," "part 2," etc.** If the drabble is complete, the last part is normally labeled "final part." If the drabble is ongoing, the last archived part will simply have a part number. A skipped part number is generally a sign that a part has been lost to evil hackers or the Thread-Eating Monster and its ilk.
*If you notice an error, please let me know! **Some authors submit titles for each part, especially if they proactively request archiving at good stopping points, but named parts are still preceded by part numbers, for the sake of consistency.

I wonder if you mean that you have started reading a long series from in the archives and ended up with the final part still being in Ste Therese/St Clare/etc and unfinished? That would not be indicated, I agree, and I can see how it would be frustrating! Have seen this list of synopses of long drabble series which might help a little?

Thank you, no I hadn't seen that, and yes I had started a long one which never got finished, so simply stopped reading the drabbles. With this as a guide I shall try again.
