I've just re-read Joey & Patricia, seeing as it came free from the NCC :D . I'd forgotten about all the homeopathy stuff, but it was nice to see Joey in the early days of her marriage.

Funnily enough, I had just re-read my original copy of Joey and Patricia when the NCC re-issue turned up in my mail; I had forgotten it was coming! I really enjoyed seeing the relationship between the two as adults, here; clearly they were each able to help the other make some important decisions. I know there has been discussion about when Joey converted to Catholicism, as EBD was never very explicit, but it does seem from Joey and Patricia that this didn't happen until just before the triplets were born - she seems to make the decision during Patricia's stay on Guernsey. I'd have been interested to see how Patricia took to Homeopathy, too.

I'm another who found Last Term at Taverton High, hard to get into, but once I did so, I liked the way Rosalie and Mary began to develop into the more rounded characters we know from EBD's books.
