A silly discussion topic that might not go anywhere, but what TV / film / radio / theatre shows do you think Chalet characters might like? Any time period, just thinking what their streaming services library might look like!

I could see some pf the ones below, what do you think?

Tom and Jack Lambert - How it’s made, documentaries, maybe Tom social rebuild shows, Extreme Makeover Home edition etc? (I can suddenly see Tom being a carpenter on that, mixing the helping people side with woodwork! She’d be really short in conversation but build up a fan following for just getting on with stuff and getting the job done!)

Con - maybe Game of Thrones ? (Never watched so not sure but seems possible?) or maybe period dramas? Robin Hood?

Richenda - Antiques Roadshow, Real Deal / flog it type shows?

Or similar theme, what show might see them on? Cornelia’s band on a talent show, Katherine Gordon commentating on sports perhaps?

These aren’t great examples, but hopefully others could add to it? Or maybe guilty pleasure shows that might not expect? I feel maybe Nell would like Dr Who, and Big Bang Theory but I have no idea why I think that!

Mary-Lou on an archaeology programme - something like Time Team.

Miss Durrant could present Strictly Come Dancing, and Karen, Anna and Frau Mieders could present Great Austrian Bake Off.

Jack (but possibly not Tom) would love Mythbusters!

Joey would be hooked on One Born Every Minute and would always have a worse, or better, story.

Matey would be unavailable whenever 24 Hours in A&E is on.

Tom would definitely enjoy Grand Designs and many of the make-over shows. She might also have an eye to The Antiques Roadshow and other programmes about antiques in case an old dolls house turned up there.

Jack Maynard would be the doctor on This Morning, or would watch the other medical shows.

Thekla would love Downton Abbey, wishing she was part of the family :)

Lol, can see Joey and Jack as one of these huge family reality TV programs.

Wonder how The Dog Whisperer would deal with Bruno !

Come to think of it, a very long list of people might well end up on The Jeremy Kyle Show or Oprah ...

Nancy or Kathie - Orange is the new black (veering over into Netflix for a bit)

Matey - The Crown or re-runs of ER

Hilda - BBC4 documentaries about history / literature / art - things with Mary Beard or Sister Wendy Beckett

Nipping across to Radio 4....
I have a suspicion Nell would be a fan of I'm Sorry I Havent A Clue, while Hilda would probably quite like Women's Hour

Jack would be a Top Gear fan. And isn't Yseult supposed to be into Arthurian legend? Maybe she'd like Merlin.

I can imagine some of the 'sillier' girls, like Felicity King, would be into Love Island.

We know Nell is a fan of Just William - so she'd like Martin Jarvis reading them not been on for a while but they do get repeated sometimes on R4

I wonder if Robot Wars might be popular, all the robots are handcrafted after all! I bet Tom and Jack Lambert would like it anyway.

Hmm, I think I disagree with you there, Bobcat! I suspect Hilda would also have enjoyed the first one. She and Nell shared a ready wit, and a fund of all-round knowledge. And I'm quite sure Nell would have twitted her about listening to Women's Hour.
