Good news: I had a really good time at Alton Towers with my friends.
Bad news: It turns out that I was 3 marks at most off getting into Oxford.

Good news: 3 day weekend! Seeing old work colleagues!

Bad news: My cold has gone to my chest and I don't feel very well.

Good news - my local Co-Op is selling mince pies (which I love)

Bad news - my local Co-Op is selling mince pies (it's mid-September for goodness' sake!)

Good news - I was in the Cats Protection League charity shop, and they have some really nice Christmas wrapping paper and cards so (although on principle I think it's far too early) I bought some in case they sell out of the ones I like

Bad news - I'll probably forget where I've put it by Christmas!

Good news - I'm in Pizza Express with my lovely daughter jabbering a 2 for 1 meal before I take her back to uni on Saturday.

Bad news - my nose has suddenly become blocked.

Good news - I went for a ten mile walk this morning.

Bad news - it was followed by a picnic so any calories lost were immediately doubled!

The good news is that my laptop has returned to me, more or less restored to good health.

The bad news is that the email program, Windows Live Mail, has been updated and is now far more complicated than it was, requiring much readjustment. And the worse news is that my workshop mailing lists have been lost from the contacts and have to be resurrected more or less from scratch

Good news - my home computer is working.

Bad news - it may have been hacked and I had to pay £39 to have the computer security updated.

Good news - after a year's break, singing workshops are resuming in Hoddesdon, Herts, with a Winter Songfeast on Saturday 6th December. For everyone, even those who firmly believe they cannot sing! (Details from me on request)

Bad news - the Windows 7 reinstall last week resulted in the loss of all my mailing lists. I therefore spent last night painstakingly reconstructing them and going boss-eyed in the process.

Better news - I think I succeeded in tracing everyone who used to be on the lists. Fingers crossed.....

Good news: it's Sunday tomorrow!

Bad news: the day after that is Monday...

Good news - I found a new independent bookshop today

Bad news - it's not yet open, though hopefully will be in a few weeks' time

(It's in Marlow, branch of Daunt's)
