How could he be anything else since it's EBD writing and they share a surname?!

Frau Betts is the owner of the hotel in which Maynie, Joey and Grizel stay and from which Grizel runs off to Schaffhausen in "Head Girl"

Who is "Minette"? And this does not refer to either of the cats in "Feud"

Indeed it is. Now this Minette I have come across, I remember thinking 'That's the cat's name', but I have no idea where or when!

Is it the Mensch's cat in the flat in Innsbruck in Jo Of?

It always strikes me that cats are like dentists in the CS world - they only ever have one name.

That's the cat of which I was thinking.

There are other cat names (Anna's "Nox" being the obvious one) and I am pretty certain there is a dentist who isn't Herr von Francius (although who this is; I can't remember) but I would agree with you that EBD is economical with some names.

Any road up...your turn!

Ooh, ooh, ooh, I know this one! He's the guy who taught violin and rescued Joey and OOAOML from the Tiernsee when they were climbing up the rock in Comes of Age (I think that's what it's called...) when they'd been rowing and lost their oars and...

That was extremely convoluted...

Who is Alette?
