Happy New Year to everyone, and may you enjoy your procrastinating in 2015!

I'm putting off tackling a load of hen stuff (domestic tasks) by doing this, is my excuse...

Heading of topic edited to reflect seasonal conditions...

I'm not really procrastinating. I am refuelling with cheese and oatmeal biscuits before heading outside to do couple of jobs.

I am keen to go outside and get cold... I just need to finish the cheese first ;-)

We believe you, Jayne!

I'm having a quick break from sharing info with some of my cousins about a family funeral on Monday (mixture of facebook and e-mails) and answering an enquiry from a friend about the Lit Soc archive I look after. But it's almost time to go and eat cold beef and salad anyway.

I have been procrastinating all day with a jigsaw and some up-market colouring in. Lovely pencils that you can then wash over with a water-brush to kid yourself you are painting :)

Lots of them around Ariel. The Caran d'Ache Aquarelle are on Amazon or ebay, Derwent Inktense or Aquatone also - or I guess at any art shop?

Not cheap though but since these are my daughter's and she has had them for about 30 years I guess they pay their way!

We've just started the jigsaw we were given for Christmas today - very good procrastination tool :D

Edges sorted and done in the daylight, then a bit of time just now over coffee, sorting some of the main colours on to trays...

Whereas my damaged back went *ping* this morning as I got dressed, and left me in such sudden agony that I didn't dare move from the spot for quite a while. So I'm now trying very hard to keep as still as I can and am lying here reading all my lovely Christmas books. How can I complain?

I have procrastinated on Twitter, over email, and via Wordfeud's chat function, so now I'm moving over here to procrastinate some more.

I am in essay hell once again, I have to get 4000 words written by tomorrow, and I have only written about 40 (which Word wants to count as about 140, because it is including footnotes, which sadly don't count towards our word limit).

I have tried to cajole Miss Annersley into helping, but she's not really the cajole-able type (I've tried threats too, but she doesn't respond well to those either) *sigh*

I hate essays. Why did I decide to put myself through another year of this?

I've probably produced about 4000 procrastination-related words today, but sadly they do not count towards my word limit. Woe is me. :(

Oh gosh, Eleanore, that sounds stressful...

*sends chocolate and coffee to help you get through the ordeal*

Thanks, Abi :) You don't want to write an opening paragraph for me, do you? *looks at Abi in a wildly hopeful and desperately optimistic fashion*

I'm supposed to be preparing the introduction to my thesis, but I'm playing the Fauré Requiem instead. Well, that and feeding grapes to a poorly chicken.

Poor thing - they are also very fond of tuna (but be careful of oil on worktops :) ) and of natural yoghurt. I'll PM you a link to a picture of a special diet I once gave one of ours!

No thanks, I'd rather do the fridge stuff. Besides, my sewing skills are rather limited.

Today I have been amusing myself with a private game of Lost In Translation :) well, it livens up writing lists of madrigals and gregorian chant.
