Share the link please rather than try and put the photos themselves up.

But please not on flipping facebook (disgruntled Cestina who has just spent a wasted half hour she will never get back trying to view a dolls house which is up for auction with the only photos of it on ff)

That was my intention, Ruth, never fear! I shall do it in a minuet.

The curls came out very well, though, as those on FB will testify (easier to post a photo there than here, though I shall once photobucket is working!), but they did tumble down before the night was over and became deranged ringlets. Mind you, given that the Governor of Jamaica had spent the evening drinking in a pirate tavern and discovering that his wife had been having an affair with the murder victim, the look was quite suitable!

(PS. It was Blind Pew)

Sounds excellent.

I have bought a pink and white hoodie which is, by my standards, the most horrifically girly item of clothing ever.

It's always good to try something different, though!

'No pink' and 'No glitter' here - I was spending the day with a friend near Christmas and she was hunting for something a bit festive to wear "I do love a bit of glitter, don't you?" she enthused. "No, I can't wear it. It looks odd on me". "But what do you wear instead?" "Practically anything, frankly - look, here are some glittery tops for you, and this here - I indicated some gorgeous brocade jackets on the next rail - "is the sort of thing I wear when you wear glitter". Only trouble was, it was five times the price - I didn't buy it, of course, but still regret it slightly. Ah well, I know I'm not alone on here in unerringly picking out the most expensive items... :D

I can't imagine you in a pink and white hoody, Exile! That said, I've lately got into pink again and keep admiring clothes and other things in various shades of it. I haven't liked it for donkey's years, but now I am especially fond of that sort of dusty shade that is almost an aspect of grey.

I shall continue resisting the urge to sew dresses in pink florals, however!

I'm only available for mild procrastination today as I have such a list of things to do. I'm not entirely sure how it can be that a single woman with no family and a shared home can be so sodding busy (in the original sense!) but I definitely am.

Right, on we go...

Well I'm wearing a floral patterned skirt so I can't talk!

Grim weather here in the midlands - damp and alternately drizzly or rainy. I woke at 4.30 this morning and got up at 5.30 when I realised I wouldn't sleep any more, so I'm a bit confused about how early in the day it is - it feels more like 3.30 than 1.30.

I'm going to try and write a chapter of thesis today. Watch this space…

Good luck with the thesis!

The weather doesn't seam to be happy around here either (although it seems to have cleared up a bit in terms of rain). It was all muggy when I was walking to my exam but it started raining when I was waiting, and during my walk back the sky cried hard. (The exam - Accountancy - went well by the way. Five more to go and they are not going to be as easy.)

Very quiet on here tonight. I suspect everyone is watching the Eurovision Song Contest in secret, along with the priceless Guardian blog on the subject to keep one sane :D

I'm not watching Eurovision in secret, but I am watching twitter because some of the comments are funny (and 'Your Mum' seems to follow a fair few people, um...)

Ooh, does it? Splendid! I'm looking forward to moving to my Mum's (ten days away!) because she has a sewing machine and I plan to teach myself dressmaking and sewing in general.

I was hosting a party at mine, since the housemate was away. Not a eurovision party, I hasten to add *shudders* - no, we had pizza and wine and played Cards Against Humanity, and my friend Dave got a little over-heated on cider and tried to dress up as the Spanish Inquisition using his wife's cardigan and a green and orange sofa cushion. Nobody was expecting that...
