I love both of those.

The Chalet School was internationally known for its demanding academics and vigorous schedule, in fact the Chinese based their entire education system on it.

WHAT?!

Oh yeah, that was a good one.

"Madame" in all senses of the world, yes! :)

Where is this wondrous drabble you speak of? if it still exists :)

And for another line...

"Are you feeling fully recovered Joey?" Madge asked her sister a few weeks after the incident at the ice carnival.

"Oh yes, much!" Jo replied happily.

"Good, because I'm now going to give you the thrashing of a lifetime for not only breaking school rules but also for disobeying me directly. Dr. Jem has provided me with one of his belts just for the occasion so get ready."

Joey grimaced, not another of her sister's 'thrashings of a lifetime'!

Cath V P also wrote one in the same vein about Hilda and Nell. All I can give you is this to find it -

A Change of Career

I really struggle with posting a link and envy those who simply manage to post here! There has to be an easy way, but I haven't found it. :bawling:

Please do go and read the drabble, though.

ETA; As you can see above, cestina has taught me well - this time! :?

I love it, but haven't been able to stop speculating on Matey's speciality, why someone would be needed for "hygiene" and whether the San was actually a luxury clap clinic ...

I have to admit that every time I want to post a link, I have to go back to the formatting post in Miss Dene's office which explains how to do it! :D

Or, here's Wikipedia. I've only heard the name because the radio adaption was advertised some point recently.

"School starts again tomorrow," sighed Kathie taking a large swig of vodka.

"And I bet they have a bloody boring inset day lined up for us," replied Nancy as she downed an entire bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale.

Miss Wilson was rather startled by the appearance of her Guides when she went to carry out the customary Saturday inspection.

'I said we would be working for your Naturalist badges, girls, not Naturist!' she exclaimed, in appalled tones...

However a troupe of Boy Scouts, on a local Nature trip enjoyed the view immensely.
