Ooh yes! And maybe our freshly homemade tomato chutney and plum jam?

We could pinch, er borrow, some scones from the other thread...

Now that's a good idea :D - we can always include some cherry and almond scones, anyway, to keep the red theme (they're the favourites in this house)...

Has anyone mentioned The Scarlet Letter, by Nathaniel Hawthorne? Sorry, I'm too lazy to go back and check!

Red food should include tomatoes, as they're good for you, although I never eat them raw. And watermelons are red on the inside.

Edited because I realised I had spelt 'red' wrong and I am pedantic!

Ah yes, good thinking Cal. I have the remains of a giant watermelon in the fridge. I'll add it to the picnic basket.

Oh dear, apparently I'm learning to play lacrosse - not much chance of that.

I'm apparently playing in a lacrosse match, which is definite progress. Although it was played at my school, I was hopeless and never good enough to be considered for a team.

I just hope they don't put me in goal. One of my abiding memories is of being put in goal during a games lesson. The pads totally swamped me, so that I could barely move, let alone save a goal!

I played in goal, loved it. Safest place on the pitch - and you don't have to run around like a mad thing on a field with no boundaries :D

I'm apparently donating it (or in this day and age IT) to the childrens' ward. No idea what it is. Hopefully nothing catching.

It wasn't the playing in goal I objected to. Just the fact that the related paraphernalia rendered me immobile.

Mind you, it did help keep me warm on a very cold Pennine winter afternoon. :D

It's the blessed dolls house - you had it just before you decided to donate it. Get it back please - children's wards are certain death to dolls houses.

I'll take it off your hands....

I'll say you've breathed on it, then they won't let it in the hospital for fear of Germs.

You can have this one with pleasure, but be warned it'll involve being breathed on by Cestina first, and then packed off to a dorm full of yowling infants...

I thought I was breathing on the dolls house not the people who have the temerity to win it?

True, but if the house is now in quarantine with you, then Someone also needs to get to quarantine...

Does asking whether Someone should be in quarantine count as an impertinent question?
