In answer to Lottie's question - I would very much like to make another thread, now that the original has reached twenty five pages!

What's your favourite game?

Only if it's not too competitive. Cluedo with SLOC and older son (9) is hilarious, particularly when SLOC put four cards in the envelope by mistake.

Have you ever taught a parrot to say anything?

The miniature ones, very - about the size of big dogs. And the babies are completely adorable.

Have you ever kept chickens?

My parents always had chikens and bantams so I learnt very young that bantam cockerels can be extremely evil.

Why hasn't anyone given me cake today, it is my birthday after all?

Ooh, fruit by a million!

Do you prefer your fruit cake moist or dry? (Assuming you like it at all, that is)

No. I tend to go to the supermarket or into town with either a list or a fairly fixed idea of what I'm looking for and spend the minimum of time finding and buying it. I have several friends who enjoy spending hours browsing, that's not for me, unless it's a second-hand bookshop! :D

What is your favourite meat?

Cinnamon, closely followed by mint (but not together, that would be migraine-inducingly horrible)

Have you ever made your own ice cream ?

Yes but now there are so many wonderful flavours easily available I don't think it is worth it any more.

What is your very least favourite, or should I say most hated, household task?

Ironing. :banghead: :bawling: :banghead: :bawling: Especially shirts.

Is there a household task you actually quite like, or are they all more or less awful ?

Cooking. I really enjoy that. Today I will be making a gluten free, vegetarian lasagne.

What do you do when you accidentally buy too much kale?

Turn it into kale chips....

(Personally I don't count cooking as a household task. I love cooking)

Have you ever used celeriac? (my favourite vegetable)
