Hello! Finally de-lurked

Name:
Kathryn

Age (ish!):
46

Location (approximate - no actual address, please!):
Northumberland

SLOCs/children/pets/imaginary friends:
Husband, 6 year old son, 1 year old dog, have written a story about a girl (Zanzibar) with an invisible possum but it's actually real

Favourite and least favourite books and characters:
Varies according to mood and which I've read most recently! Generally less keen on the fantastical ones with pantomime villains- boarding school is fantastical enough for me anyway.

How you got into the Chalet School:
As a child.

How you found the CBB:
Miss Annersley on Mumsnet talked about it on a thread about the Chalet School and Ofsted  I figured if it was good enough for her it must be good. Have lurked for aaaages since then though.

If it helps-I was reading the thread about nicknames/shorts- I called myself Kaffrin at school as I was fed up with the inaccurate spellings and went for how it was pronounced

Hello and congratulations on delurking.

My friend spells her name like yours and she says it's the correct way

Kaffrin is a great name though. I know someone who calls herself that sometimes.

I've never known so many people who spell Kathryn the proper way !! Welcome and like the other spelling too, my brother always used to say it that way, so I have some things with that as well, though use the y, not i.

Kathryn Beecharmer :-D

Welcome, I was in Northumberland at the weekend and was reminded of how beautiful it is. Do you like Lorna Hill as well? I was suggesting to my husband that we spend a week in Northumberland so that I can do a bit of a Lorna Hill trail :)
