All the best people take 5 attempts to pass their driving tests ... er, well, I did ...

Congratulations, exile.

I'm sitting in the airport lounge waiting for my plane home. I've had a wonderful week with my friends.

Well done, exile. I also took 5 attempts.

For various reasons, I've only had a car for about 6 months in the intervening years, so I certainly wouldn't be a confident driver if I got one now.

I cycled up Alpe d'Huez with SLOC on Friday. Seemed a fitting way to celebrate Bastille Day. Very impressed with myself. It's amazing how your child telling you you can't do something will spur you on

Thank you Abbey and Exile. Yes there have been numerous occasions when I've wondered if offspring have been overrated!
