Fortunately the first load of washing was all underclothes, so it didn’t matter that all turned quite a. delicate shade of lime green which was quite a change from white which was standard uniform

Fortunately she pushed so many in that the machine stopped and Matey discovered the problem and was able to drag all the blouses out before they had time to turn green.

Fortunately these turned out to be neat green stripes, so were acceptable for wearing with one of their own skirts on Saturday evenings.

Unfortunately some of the owners of the green striped blouses didn’t like the particular shade of lime green, so they refused to wear them.

Fortunately their lime green musings were disregarded by Madge who promptly signed a sponsorship deal with Pacers mint sweets and a twin-team partnership with Celtic FC.

Unfortunately all the Scots girls at the school supported Rangers not Celtic and were not happy about this

Fortunately a decision was made that new school uniform blouses should be pink striped, so all those with lime green markings were bundled up and sent to an orphanage nearby

Fortunately they happened to be very short of dusters.

Unfortunately the material wasn’t much use for dusters so dusting was reduced to once a week, and then only in the most obvious places.

Unfortunately the “small consideration” wasn’t enough to buy new dusters so the place got dustier and dustier.

Unfortunately the orphanage cat took a dislike to having its territory invaded by a dog, and spitting and growling, claws at the ready it leapt forward and attacked the intruder, who hid behind Joey howling in terror.

Fortunately, Joey's earphones made her look like an unusual large-eared animal, which scared the cat
