Since we were fairly undecided about which would be the best way to go about informing CBBers that we drabblers from foreign lands had update our stories, I have taken it upon myself to start a thread on which all drabblers that will can post links to their drabble updates.

The idea is, anyone who wants to notify the CBB of their story can do so here, both when they post it for the first time and then for any subsequent updates, along with links to the stories on whichever of the fanfic websites they use. Mia has requested that suitable summaries are posted along with the drabble announcements, to give potential readers the opportunity to assess whether they want to read or not; I suggest that this is discretionary, though perhaps worth considering. I also think (hope?) that we can relax the spreeing laws just for this thread, as some people may update more frequently than others.

Anyone who wants to join in may - likewise any drabblers who don't wish to join in do not have to. I know it probably won't benefit many people, but I think it's worth it for those few that struggle with the automated notifications offered by the SDL/LGM.

I shall begin by linking to the latest T&M story.

The Winds Begin To Sing:

Links:
SDL
LGM

This is the sequel to my lengthy epic Tea & Militancy. Susie Smith, erstwhile junior mistress at the Chalet School, has gone missing. Nell Wilson is worried about her, and Tristan Denny is struggling to cope with her loss.

There are currently three chapters on LGM and two on the SDL.

Links to the first few parts of T&M can be found here.

Cheers Finn.

BEECHARMER

I'm not organised enough to post every time, but these are my currently active drabbles, and I will try to update when start new ones or become more active with old ones.

Scary thought I've realised, the drabbles that I am currently active with are nearly all straight ones

Though the gay/straight ratio in School of Adventure probably makes up for that

I've now put the third chapter of The Winds Begin To Sing up on the SDL: here.

ETA: I think it's the last I'll be drabbling for a while, while I work out whether I really want to commit myself to another drabble epic, or whether it would be better just to write it all straight up into its novelised form :) I may have overstepped the mark!

Hello!

9 years (!) ago I started a series about the Bettany family which is mostly in the archives, but the formatting is a bit strange which is quite off-putting. So here it is on the SDL. I plan to edit it a little as I post and generally try to polish it up a little. The first five stories are complete but the sixth and final instalment is not yet finished. I promise to finish it :)

A Friend of the Family

I've posted some more T&M. Links to the fourth update below - there is also a fifth on both sites:

LGM
SDL

I very much enjoyed your Bettany series, Mia, so thank you for posting the SDL links. Do you intend to add more to the unfinished ones? (I think I read all of them, and I remember distinctly wanting more of the one where Rix goes off to London to train as a doctor, and has that terribly tragic tutor in the hospital/college where he is training).

I know you are writing a fill-in, so this isn't a nag, just a question!

Yes the plan is to put them all up - I hadn't realised how distorted they were in the archives. It will take a few days because they need putting into chapters but hopefully I will be able to get some more up tonight/tomorrow.

And since you ask so nicely, I've actually just updated the medical school drabble so that's coincidental! Link is here: http://www.sallydennylibrary.co.uk/view ... hp?sid=323

Brillz! I shall look forward to that after dinner :) Might merit a whole re-read, in fact...

My current drabble is set in the Swiss era and focussed mainly (and somewhat irreverently!) on twelve members of staff, as Hilda suggests a peer review programme (thanks, PaulineS, for that convenient description!) following her term away observing European schools.

This thread is brilliant, thank you so much to everyone posting on it. I have read more drabbles since it started than in the whole of the past six months.....

Having struggled, with Kathryn's help, to make the right link for New Dreams, I hope this will link you to the chapter I've just posted today in SDL.

This has been such an ongoing saga for so long (9 years!!) that I'm sure you know it's about Hilda's grief at losing Nell, and about the people she meets along her way, as well as all the usual suspects like Nancy, Kathie and Matey.

Vol.8. Green Herbs and Ample Bread. Ch . 56

ETA Have discovered that this link only gets you to the first chapter, which would mean you would have to search for the right one, so I'm giving up the unequal struggle, as nothing I do seems to take you straight to the chapter posted. :banghead:
