So, bearing in mind my exciting proposal here, what would your ideal Chalet School event include (hypothetically speaking)? Dosing people with castor oil? Climbing up hills with our knees bent? Hot chocolate that tastes of snow and chicory? Jumping over candles? Ideas welcome from everyone, not just people contemplating coming!

I would love progressive games. Also, as the Chalet School girls were Guides, please could we do a kind of tracking game with clues?

I remember doing a relay race on one of the first Gs. That was good fun.

Snow fight. With forts. Minus rocks.

If I had a Squeenmobile, there would be snow. Guaranteed.

Ideally, they would involve large amounts of cream cakes followed by adventures in the snow and rescue by handsome doctors.

On a more realistic note, something involving CS food, some of the games mentioned in the books (not convinced about slidey mats, but maybe apple-bobbing, paper games, CS-related quizzes and CS-themed decorations. Possibly country dancing, although the Schuhplattler might be pushing it :D .

I was thinking perhaps just an array of eligible bachelor and bachelorette doctors, to be given away as prizes to lucky attendees. :D

If there's to be any evening events, maybe some kind of fancy dress, like the ones described in the books? A sheets-and-pillow cases party, or (my favourite) one where people had to come as the title of books and guess each other's costume.

The playsuit does not lend itself to stripping.

The one I went to had a race sliding on mats a la the 'boat race' in Barbara. That was lots of fun!

We've done slidey mat races twice, but unfortunately the hall at MK is carpeted! They were great fun though.
